So.... About Reese on Harv's Island

It says he can customize things you normally can't. I know they show the lighthouse, but they show the grand piano and the soft cone as customizable in their inventory. Does that mean Reese can customize all of the items that have variations? I no longer have to search out variations to get that particular color? That is awesome!

From what I can tell, I believe he can recolour the nook mile items to the variants you can't get yourself based on like your airport colour.

I’m really hopping he can customize anything we can’t. I still don’t have all the colors on items and would be so nice if I could just have Reese customize the cute set for me. If not at least he can customize nook mile items.

It seems likely he can customize anything that has a variation, but I guess we can't be super sure until the 5th.

If this is true, this would be amazing. I've spent so much time trying to track down alternate colors of furniture via trading to get them cataloged, and I still don't have everything. If I can just order the color I have and customize it to get the colors I don't have... I hope he can do all shop items.

it looked to me as though he can customize anything with a color variant that isn't crafted, since it says, "items you can't customize" i.e. regular furniture and NM items. i suppose we won't know for certain until the update drops, but i don't see why it would only pertain to certain items.

I think he is able to change the colours of the nookmile items as it said something about changing the colour/design of items that you can not get others for. I know you can trade with other players but I think thats what they meant.

By the looks of it, we'll at least be able to customize Nook Miles items. But it also looked, to me, like we can customize shop items as well, possibly to get variants we don't already have? And didn't it say any furniture you couldn't do? So, I'm guessing that's the deal. If so, it'll be a lot easier to complete catalogs! I certainly wouldn't mind being able to get any variant as long as I have the base item... ESPECIALLY with, what looks like, a lot of new items being released!

I have spent a lot of time collecting item variants. I'm so glad I won't have to do that anymore. Now, I'll just be trying to collect all the new furniture! LOL

It looks like he can customize the Lighthouse and the Grand Piano from what we saw in the trailer. This will finally get rid of this annoying "Island variant color being locked" issues that we have had. I also hope there is more variety of colors for the other Furniture items that can be customize.

I was so mad when I saw this in the Direct, after spending so much time on Nookazon to get color variants. I really wish this update had dropped much sooner this year.

I paused on that part specifically to check and it did look like he can customize everything we can’t meaning shop items (not crafted) and nook miles items. This is good for people who are about to reset their islands for this update since you won’t need to look out for the airport color anymore because you can just customize the nook miles items later on.

Oh, I hope you're right! I hadn't thought of Gulliver items. I actually traded for all the different nook mile items about ago. LOL But now I don't have to keep them in my storage!

I was so mad when I saw this in the Direct, after spending so much time on Nookazon to get color variants. I really wish this update had dropped much sooner this year.

I traded here, so it might have been easier than Nookazon, but yeah, I understand that. I'm not mad, though. I'm just thrilled it's finally here! Especially for all the people who don't have Nintendo Online.

I feel like his job will be mainly putting things like nookazon out of business as everyone will eventually have access to every type of nookmile designed item, meaning they wont be needing to go 3rd party places to search for someone selling the colour they want.

as far as i know, all (or at least most) of the gulliver furniture items are already customizable!

Cyrus can customize all of the different furniture that we can't do. I am sure he can do the ones that we can do as well. Which might be a better purchase than going around and having to bulk buy so many paint kits. Might be my go to instead of going back and forth between the shop and bulk buying and going to my work station. Just do it all in one fell swoop.
