Normally, I'm not interested in mobile games that much and because of a phone which
is too old to allow me playing such games, I never could have played Pocket Camp. Now
things looks a little bit different, as since yesterday, I got a new phone which is faster
and able to play Pocket Camp. Out of curiosity, I downloaded the game, start playing
it and yeah...

I'm at Level 11 right now, got some villagers at my camp and trying to get these black
cat (?) items from the fishing tourney. So far, the game is not bad, a little getting used
to for me, but it's kinda fun.

So, as a newbie, are there any things where I need to be careful? Any tips of how
to get certain things faster and so on? Btw, I sure know that I'm not gonna spend
any real money into this game, so I only have those Leaf tickets you get in the
game...

-Buy the extra crafting slots as soon as you have the Leaf Tickets, as you will need them.
-Befriend lots of people so you can get into the Quarry daily (especially during Gyroid hunt event) and share bugs during Gardening Events.
-Never speed up anything with LTs and just be patient.
-Craft the amenities for your camp as soon as you can. Once you hit the third tier of amenities (the ones that require 48 hours of waiting), you don't need to hit level 5 unless you really want to.
-Check the Fortune Cookies daily to see if any 5,000 Bells cookies are available (those are the ones you really want, but the Clothing, Timmy, and Tommy are good to get as a new player).
-Once villager hit certain levels (it varies per villager, some requiring 15), if you have them at your campsite they will allow you to craft certain items. Some of these items will be needed in the Happy Room Academy classes.
-Talk to your campers whenever the thought bubble appears above your head in your campsite, especially as a new player. They will help you increase your friendship level and often give you materials or Bells.
