I thought the Pikmin hat was Nintendo's idea of celebrating the DSi.

Yeah that's what I thought, too. The site says the next DLC will be in celebration of the DSi, and then it goes on to say the next DLC is the Pikmin hat. And yesterday was the last day to get it. So I'm pretty sure it was the Pikmin hat.Galen said:

Nintendo jumbled up the spacing. The next DLC, coming on Sunday, is to celebrate the DSi. The Pikmin hat didnt celebrate the NPC release, but the beginning of spring. So, you're welcome for clearing that up.

LOL, those were my thoughts, too. Slightly larger screen, slightly better audio output. And 2 cameras, the novelty of which will wear off so quickly it's not worth remembering it's got them. Anyone with a DS Lite would be wasting their money to get the DSi.Away236 said:
I saw someone post on one of the threads awhile ago that the DSi was gonna be so great because it would have better graphics. I had a good laugh - you can't get better graphics from the games, they are all made to play on all the DS consoles. A bigger screen simply means a little less squinting.

If you don't have any DS or have the original DS, then I suppose you might like it for the general major improvements over the original model. I hardly think the differences between the Lite and the DSi were worth a "new" product release, though. Also, removing the GBA slot is unfortunate, as I have many GBA games and the GBA is terribly uncomfortable to play for very long, so playing on the DS is much nicer for that.
And back on topic - the new DLC is hideous. It looks like the characters are taking their lives into their own hands by sitting on something that should collapse at any moment, and it seems like a bad idea to suggest anyone should sit on the screen. Why did they make it a couch?? Why couldn't it just have been a proportionally sized item to sit on a table where it can't be deemed a death trap?

You get a DS that you can sit on, I recieved it from Pete at 10am GMT today.
It's not just an upgrade from the DS Lite like GBA to GBA SP. It has games of its own that you can't play on a normal DS. That includes DSiWare and games made to use the Nintendo DSi's new features. So sometime they're release a new game that you really want, but you won't be able to play it with your DS Lite/Phat. Plus, YOU CAN JUST KEEP YOUR OLD DS FOR GBA GAMES! The DSi is only $170, which isn't much if you have a job. It's worth it.leelu said:
