Sold Plot Glitch/Bug

Was curious to see if this has happened to anyone else (this has already been reported on Nintendo Support Forums)
I bought a villager from someone and the plot they were gonna get said Sold and that they would be moving their, the next day I went to go look at it and it now says “this spots reserved for ____’s home” with a blank were a name should have been.

Hoping to fix it by inviting another villager as I heard that may fix it but was just curious to hear if this has happened to anyone else

this thread explain it very well! I haven't forced anyone to leave via the amiibo method yet, so I can't confirm it. Good luck and I hope it gets fix soon.

Thank you so much, I actually did get the villager from a forced amiibo move. It’s gonna be a hassle to fix this but at least I know there is a possibility of fixing it
