Can someone tell me which Gulliver/Gullivar gets you the gold shovel? I would assume Gulliver because you have to use your shovel and it only makes sense.

You have to help gulliver 30 times.
Gullivarr does not count towards this.

However gullivarr does count towards the nook miles task of helping gulliver. Which means that stamp is unreliable for tracking how close you are to getting the shovel

The golden shovel takes way too long, was over a full year before I got it.

I seen somewhere about finding a day he shows up and then changing your time to go forward a day then back the day he was there then keep repeating until you helped him 30 times. It works I got my gold shovel
