Special Characters that live together only get 1 house

Yesterday I designed Sable's house. I noticed that it seems like she lives with Mabel and Labelle. I scanned Labelle's card today and the options were for a deluxe remodel or a new house.

So it seems all the animals who live together only get 1 house. They count as separate animals in the catalog, but they share the same picture for their house and if you visit it's the same exact one. So far, it seems like this applies to:

- Sable/Mabel/Labelle
- Timmy/Tommy
- Resetti/Don Resetti
- Reese/Cyrus

There actually is a purpose to scanning all the respective cards though. You can only get the picture of the character from their respective card. So Sable only gave me her pic, and I had to redesign the house (or I guess you could also do a new one) with Labelle's card to get Labelle's pic. I assume the same would be true with Sable.

Anyway, this is just an FYI for anyone who doesn't have season 2 cards yet and hasn't been able to see this.

I actually really like this, although I think it's kind of messed up that Tom Nook doesn't live with his kids... Also, missing from your list is Leila/Leilani/Kapp'n I don't know yet if Grams is going to be a SP card and if she is going to live with them too, Leila only mentioned her dad and mom, and I know Tortimer had his own place so maybe Grams lives with him, I didn't pay attention is he mentioned it or not...

Timmy and Tommy aren't his kids. There was a conversation between Lyle and Tom Nook once in ACNL about how he likes to check in on the two like they are his kids, even though they aren't. Nookipedia says that they're his nephews, though I don't recall that ever being mentioned in the game.

I think it's weird though that you don't see Mr. Resetti with his kid and wife, since I remember my mayor walking in on him one time gushing about his kid. lol.

Guess it makes sense, I mean theoretically Harriet should be in the same building to and she's got her own place (only amiibo card I have is Harriet so yah...)

I don't care overly much though... it's just fun designing.

I assume Grams would also live with them and if she ever had her own card made it would be the same situation as with the Able Sisters, seeing as once you finish designing a house for Kapp'n she and everyone else show up to stay. Also, when Kapp'n tells you his plans for a new home he mentions that he wants a place for all four of them to live in iirc.

It's nice they all live together but I wished the house was bigger when it's 2 or more people living there.
I used the amiibo toys to build Cyrus house and scan Reese to make the house larger.
The room upstairs and in the basement are small for a couple.

There are other layouts besides the small two-room, 1st floor ones? I had no idea til I saw your post, though it seems a bit tedious having to rebuild just to enlarge. I can't wait to try them out later.

At least a couple have more room to spare compared to a family of 3 or 4. Speaking of which, it would also be nice if they all had their own rooms instead of literally sharing a whole bedroom (the one in the house I made for Kapp'n and co. is really cramped because of that).

Yeah, I plan to have a main floor shop for them (mimic of the island building) and then a room for Kapp'n and his honey upstairs, and a room for Grams and Leila downstairs.
