What do you think the roles of the special characters will be? Ones like Crazy Redd, Gracie, and Lyle are who I'm really wondering if Nintendo will change the roles of.

To be honest, I have no idea what is in store for ac switch. I mean this makes me even more excited!! I am hoping they combine happy home designer with acnl and we get to decorate and unlock different buildings like the department store, school etc in HHD.

You know what would be cool with Gracie? If there was a fashion show every now and then. I mean a literal fashion show, where your character dresses up in whatever the theme is and walks down a catwalk. It would be great fun if this was a multiplayer-compatible feature. It would also be great if villagers themselves could be in the show. Since Pocket Camp has villagers being able to wear more things now, and presumably that would be true in AC Switch too, it could be really cute and/or funny to see them dress up.

I think it would be awesome to see some roles switched around again! I don't really have any specific ideas but I really liked what they did with NL's NPCS like Nook. Only thing is that I would prefer them to take the spotlight a little more... I felt bad that I rarely got to see Nook because he was hidden in a building with so little use!

Would be kinda interesting if Crazy Redd and Tommy and Timmy would work togehter now,
like Redd wants to be a "serious seller" now, however, he still makes trouble like by selling
fake paintings, without that Tommy and Timmy notice this and Redd try to convince the
player to not telling them anything and that he will stop this very soon. I think that Lyle
would still work together with Nook, maybe also with Lottie. As for Gracie, I guess she
will still have that fancy shop with the very expensive items, maybe she will get a new
assistant/store clerk, now that Labelle is working together with her sisters. Not sure
however about the other NPCs, I guess most of them will still have the same roles
like they had in New Leaf.

Now that's a pretty cool idea. I would like that if they would do something like this. I could imagine
that cranky villagers for example are going to be very upset, because they have to wear clothes
they don't like but everyone things that they looking good in it. Could be a really funny thing.

I would love if they made like a separate part of town that was a neighborhood of sorts for the NPCs that run the shops, Isabelle, etc. Of course they'd only be home before/after hours but I think it would add some depth into the NPC characters, especially ones we don't see often. It might be harder to justify homes for Gracie, Gulliver, etc who don't have shops in town.

I do realize it would be hard to implement this with the NPCs who run buildings 24/7 like Isabelle, Blathers and more. It's more of just wishful thinking and I hope they can somehow get these characters more of an in-depth story and interactions.

Maybe change some of the 24/7 jobs, so that your character can fill in at Town Hall, The Roost (I know you get to serve a few animals to-go coffee now, but maybe more of a real shift), or the Post Office. I remember with ACGC, you got to fill in for a week at the lighthouse when Tortimer went on vacation. Something like that could be fun and make it seem as though you are more a part of the town.
