Speed-running Y/N?

So I have "by-passed" a few houses I really didn't want to do at all but for the most part I have fully designed the one/two rooms allotted for the first rounds of each house, which is very time consuming, even though I plan to go back to a lot (if not most) of the houses and re-do them to add bigger and more rooms and stuff, but I know for sure I am missing a lot of items I want for houses I want to do but I need those things for...

So I was wondering if anybody here has done a "speed-run" and just put out all the "must" items for houses to get all of the things before going back to re-do the houses to how they would like them done (meaning I would still follow the theme at least for the most part.) And if so do you suggest it to unlock all the items?

I made this a poll to see how many people do this and to see if it's a good idea!

I did that and I think it was good idea for the most part, however I will say it makes it a lot less motivating to go back and do some of the houses of villagers I don't care about as much. I thought I would go back and re-do all of them (and maybe far into the future that will be true) but a lot of villagers are just sitting with the required items in their houses.

On the other hand, now I have all of the items available for all designs that I do create, which I really like. Either way, have fun!

Tbh I might start doing this now, I've stopped playing because I have as much items as I would like to really create good designs.

No, I haven't done this. Sure, sometimes I have to deal with designs I don't care about. And sometimes I run into designs where the idea I get in my head when I see their description has to be different once I see the actual required items. I can't remember who it was now, but I did someone yesterday who said they wanted a "treasure shop". I thought I would make a pawn shop, on the lines of the one in Pawn Stars. But no, this animal wanted me to use some Nintendo items. I ended up making a Nintendo museum.

I feel like the lack of items, while it can be frustrating, forces me to be creative sometimes too.

I do plan to go back and redo pretty much everything once I'm done all of the requests the first time through. But I'm not going to force it to be done faster.

Rowan! He was the first villager I by-passed. I was so set against it in the beginning, but when "treasure shop" turned out to be a bunch of Starfox junk, I couldn't deal with it. What a jerk.

I have for a few houses. I try to take my time and focus on what items I do have but some just aren't fun or inspiring themes to me. I plan to go back and redo some later.

I think it depends on the house. I like the color themes for houses. One asked for all pink and I LOVED it so I took a long time and love it. Another wanted an empty lot. I thought that was boring so I sped through it.

I have... mainly to try and get Merengue before the contest was over but she never showed up... I haven't played in forever tbh I got bored of it ^^;
