Splatoon Splatfest! Gear vs Grub vs Fun!

Anyways, today is Day 2 of our first splatfest! Which side did you choose? How are the games thus far? Is this your FIRST time playing splatfest?

I chose Gear! I missed yesterday but started this evening and got short a win streak. Managed to Gear Defender for now x)

I’m on Team Fun!

Nervous about being in the lead due to tri-color turf wars. It’s not a comfortable spot to be in. That said, I still haven’t played one besides as Team Rock during the demo, so I don’t know how truly intense it feels to be ganged up on.

On a different note: I am adoring all these baby jellyfish out during Splatfest! They are so cute!

I'm on team gear! I've somehow managed to get to gear ruler +3. Tricolour battles are still broken, but Hammerhead Bridge is a much better map to play on compared to Sturgeon Shipyard. I've had one tricolour match so far and my teammate disconnected as well as one of team funs teammates. Team grub came first, I came second, and team fun came last lol.

I'm enjoying it so far! The plaza is so beautiful when a spaltfest is on

Team fun here! The splatfest has been a bit of a rollercoaster for me due to the unpredictable matchmaking, but I'm managing to have a good time regardless. Hoping to get in to at least one tricolor battle today since I didn't get in to any during the testfire. I know there's about a 50% chance I'll regret saying that given how polarizing the mode is, but ah well.

I'm also wondering if anyone has noticed this fest being very lopsided in the team department? Yesterday I played 42 matches, of which 2 were against grub and the rest were against gear. I watched a few team grub streams throughout the day and they were also getting nothing but team gear matches. I can't imagine how popular gear has to be for something like that to happen.

I chose team gear, but didn’t have a chance to play much.

Either way, team gear won! With gear you can gather your own food and you just need an imagination to have fun.

I feel like they’re gonna have a tough time coming up with 3 options each Splatfest. There’s always gonna be that obviously superior option.

Then again, people just might be choosing their favorite member of Deep Cut…

Yeah Gear ended up winning, I wasn’t expecting that. Thought for sure Fun would win.
