Although I didn't watch much of the show in its later years, I still hold it dear to my cold heart. Also, I still make Spongebob references in my daily life amongst friends and my partner (no ragrets in doing so either). (,:
Very sad that the creator, Stephen Hillenburg, isn't with us anymore. :/
I'm sure he's proud that Spongebob got that far and that the show is still beloved by so many
people around the world.
Spongebob is part of my childhood and I'm a big fan of the show, although to be honest I don't
know every episode, as I didn't watch any of the new episodes so far. But I still enjoy watching
the show.
So yeah, Happy 20th anniversary, you silly sponge!
Oh my god, this makes me feel old! I was out of high school when Spongebob first aired. But I still watched quite a bit of it, so Happy 20th Anniversary, Spongebob!
20 years?!?! Man, how many times does time fool us? Regardless, it’s great that they’re still standing but I personally preferred that they stopped at the show’s peak performance. But my oh my, did I have a ginormous passion for this show as a kid! I had many different merchandises from that show. Blankets, pillow cases, a phone, plug-in play arcade games, books, a hat, a stuffed toy, a DVD player, a couple of games from the Gameboy, stickers, Spongebob themed candy, a ball, and the list goes on. In the end, I’m glad this show made a positive impact to many people, whether it’s from memes or memories growing up.
