Spring Bamboo DIY instead of Cherry Blossom?

I've been farming balloons today to try to get cherry blossom and bunny day DIY recipes. I haven't gotten a single cherry blossom recipe, but I've gotten two young spring bamboo recipes (ones I already had, no less). Aren't those out of season now?

I got bamboo recipes too and it is under the category of seasonal DIY. Now you have me worried I won't be able to get cherry blossom stuff lol.

I've got two cherry blossom recipes from two balloons today, but not the bamboo and I'm trying to get both of these items.

Just got another bamboo item DIY. Has anyone gotten both bamboo and cherry blossom today? It's totally possible that the bamboo just bleeds over into cherry blossom season, but I'm worried that if it doesn't there might be a bug keeping cherry blossom DIYs from replacing bamboo.

I'm also still getting young spring bamboo from bamboo trees, alongside cherry blossom petals. Really thought these wouldn't overlap?

They're separate events tied to different seasonal stages, so it would be pretty ridiculous if some players just couldn't get cherry blossom items, especially since I've been collecting the cherry blossom petal materials. That's like saying one player couldn't get Bunny Day items to make them trade with someone who can't get Halloween items




I wonder if it could be tied to the fact that I didn't get the cherry blossom announcement from Isabelle this morning due to a villager moving in, so she didn't give me the picnic DIY? I've seen other people complaining about that. Is there anyone who failed to get that DIY who's gotten cherry blossom recipes from balloons?

I received both a cherry blossom recipe (the wallpaper) and a bamboo recipe (steamer basket) today via balloons. Actually... I'm not 100% positive on the cherry blossom, that might have been a bottle recipe. I also did not receive the picnic recipe from Isabelle due to a villager move-in announcement and I'm really hoping we can receive it tomorrow via Isabelle/other means. :c

I didn't get the DIY recipe from Isabelle this morning. I did get a sakura clock recipe form a balloon today, and young spring bamboo from whacking the bamboo in my town. Did not get any bamboo recipes from balloons today, but I haven't played much yet since I'm supposed to be working.

Update: just shot down a recipe for the cherry blossom wand from a yellow balloon present.

I had a villager move in and I unlocked terraforming today so I didn't get the DIY from Isabelle, but I shot down like 50+ balloons and got about 6 cherry blossom recipes (in addition to the egg ones).
I hope they bleed into each other because I still have plenty of bamboo recipes to unlock... I think it's just a matter of RNG not working in our favor.
