Wow! I went over half the contests at this point. And according to my story, Day Four is ready. This contest is not a sport, but it's a popular winter activity taken into a contest. Please do not throw snowballs at me if you don't like my fanfic. I work hard on them.
Nearly half of the winter carnival is done, as half the contests are finished. The ones that are done with the contests or are awaiting to compete are playing the carnival games and riding the rides. They also like to go ice skating or eating what Jenny cooks. But there are only eight guests that didn't do anything other than wait for the contest. They were Ava, Truffles, Pashima, Tipper, Coach, Egbert, Chops, and Gruff. They were awaiting in-front of the Battle Arena as Stacy was getting everything ready. At 10:55 AM, she comes to the arena gates. She gets her megaphone and talks.
"Hello everyone!" said Stacy, "you must be ready for the snowball fight. There is a plenty of snow, but we will be tracking scores. There are three rounds with a 30-minute intermission in between rounds. You will be put into teams. On the first ten minutes of each round, you have to build your fort. The other fifty minutes is to throw snowballs. If you hit one of the members of the opposite team, your team will get a point. The team with the most points by the end of the round will qualify for the next round. The top three are the two who make it to the finals, and the more contributive member that makes doesn't make it to the finals. And one more thing, do not throw snowballs unless if you are inside your fort. There is a line that keeps you from cheating. You can cross it to pick up more snow, but don't throw snowballs if you're beyond the line. The contest will now start."
Stacy opens the arena gates as the contestants had to build their forts. Coach, Egbert, Chops, and Gruff were all part of one team as Ava, Truffles, Pashima, and Tipper were part of another. The boys built their fort like a castle. It was an actual building made of snow bricks. There is a snowball thrower on a balcony made of snow. The girls built ice walls with a few ice pillars. After the ten-minute mark, the battle began.
For the first 25 minutes, the boys were getting the advantage by throwing snowballs. The girls can only attack Chops, but he is too high as he thows the snowballs. Not only snowball hits count, but collapsing pillars also count. For example, Tipper hid behind a pillar, and when a snowball hit the pillar hard, it collapsed on her. Pashima was hiding behind the pillar behind. But when the girls succeed on destroying the boys' fort, they started picking up. They caused the collapse of the boys' balcony. Near the end, they were scoring much faster than the boys. Even so, they didn't have more points than the boys at the end of the round, so they barely lost.
In the second round, Ava, Truffles, Pashima, and Tipper left the arena since they can play no more. Chops and Gruff were part of one team as Coach and Egbert were part of another. With the boys separated more, they can't build as nice forts as the first round, but they were still good enough. Chops and Gruff made a tower as Coach and Egbert made a step-up plaza with stairs and walls.
As the fight went on, Chops didn't make any hits, but Gruff did. But Coach and Egbert were doing much better. In fact, they were better at even dodging. And after the second round ended, Coach and Egbert won. Stacy told Chops to leave since he isn't getting a prize as Gruff has to stay, but cannot play.
In the final round, it was a fight between Coach and Egbert. Their forts were even smaller due to a lack of contestants on each side, but getting an additional prize with the awards and discount was imminent on both sides. It's just that only one could to to the Champion Tournament. Egbert was being hit hard by Coach. He tried to fight, but kept failing. For the last ten minutes, he started to get better. He scored much faster than Coach, and thus surpassing him. In the end, Egbert was the winner.
"Three rounds are over!" said Stacy. "Congratulations Egbert! You won a golden snowball trophy and a blue ribbon. You also get a real snow-cone maker and a chance to participate in the big contest in two days. Coach, you get a silver snowball trophy, a red ribbon, and a snowman figurine. Gruff, the bronze snowball trophy and yellow ribbon are both for you."
The three boys that won celebrated their win. They left to put their stuff away, but they were going to return after.
