Stories of ruined towns?

So I'm new to this couminity and I saw that most of the times you have to follow some rules if you want to visit someones town. I'm not saying it's bad but this made me curious if there were any stories about people ruining towns like stealing and distroying.
It never happened to me but I would like to hear your stories/opinions.

Thankfully never happened to me, but I heard of someone going out for the day and leaving their gate open. They came back and every single tree and flower was gone... Also a lot of hybrids go walkabouts during trades!
