I loved creating designs back on new leaf and there are a ton more options in horrizons. It's just I realized the switch doesn't come with any, unlike the 3DS :p What would you guys recommend?

Not trying to bum you out but the the custom design feature as far I know isn’t touchscreen.

this. new horizons doesn’t use touchscreen at all except for when you’re using the keyboard

yeah, wish they hadn't done that as it makes designs a bit harder. Good news is there is a mirror mode and you can also scoot your pattern around.

I use a stylus for the sake of writing letters and that's it. I definitely wish there was more touchscreen compatibility

I think nintendo did this to possibly force nintendo online subscriptions.

A low blow to take out a feature we've always had and put it behind a paywall.

Edit. I meant since you can use the nintendo online app to make patterns, yet no touch screen in the actual game.

Which stylus are you using? I want to get one for the switch regardless

I bought mine from amazon for about £10? It works perfectly but it comes with a plastic circular tip which can be a bit irritating if you’re trying to be precise. I’ve seen other versions though with good reviews :)

i honestly don't remember, I just ordered the cheapest one i could find on amazon with decent reviews!

i wanted a "tap disc" stylus for more precision so that's what i ordered. i received one like what Mocha described - a pen with a rubber tip for tapping (which works okay). classic amazon sending the wrong thing lol

I had no idea this was a thing - thank you for saying so! I'd ordered a stylus specifically for designs and thought it was going to go to waste.

Thing is... you can use the touchscreen to freely draw on the bulletin board, so why couldn't it be also enabled for designs???

You got me good as an April fools, Surely Nintendo aren't that dumb and considered that throughout the development of the game, right?
