Suggestions for changing usernames

First suggestion, I think we should have the ability to revert back to past usernames whenever we want.

Second suggestion, I think we should have the ability to have rotating usernames, which is like rotating images, but with usernames, but I don't think that will make it in, due to possible confusion.

fifth suggestion, it's not possible.

just pick one good name and roll with it. there's only one name i would change mine to, and that's more or less my alt-name depending on the place i'm registered at. Psychonaut = <3

This. I tried other names - they didn't fit. I only really use one other alt, and that's on VR.

I hope you aren't thinking that I'm talking about you changing your own username anytime you want. And the list of usernames you can use for a rotating one can only consist of previous usernames and your current one.

Both of your ideas are interesting and one of them is very likely to happen. Your first idea could work if you know HTML, Javascript, and other very advanced coding very well. Your first idea could also be a possible Zeta Boards Update in the future. Your second idea is the most unlikely of the bunch but, anything possible on the internet to an extent.

Both of your ideas are interesting and one of them is very likely to happen. Your first idea could work if you know HTML, Javascript, and other very advanced coding very well. I won't be using the first one, but other people will. I mean, you change your name and you later realize you hate it. What's next? You have to pay 2000 more bells to change your name back. You could at least get your old username back.

I really don't think this is a good idea, though different people have different opinions, of course..

it would be, and is, similar to changing your name, or going by a random name (though it's from a set list)

people wouldn't know if you're ken today, or bob tomorrow. it's really just an extra hassle on those who are trying to both keep the forum tidy/spam/clutter-free/nice, since people are harder to track with even 2 names instead of 1.

the only person who would be at an advantage or be able to take advantage of this would be those who are too indecisive as to what they want to be called. those who are settled and know what their name is or should be would be punished by having to keep up with multiple names which would, in the end, trivialize the forums content when anything as a community arises.

in casual talking/opinion stating, anonymizing yourself is great. in a community that needs faces, participants, leaders, etc, it's not so great.

but eh. my opinion, and a long winded one.

edit: though the idea of being able to revert your name back within a set time period (say, a week or two) might be nice as an extra option. tack on another 500 TBT, i would say. but i dunno.

I like the idea of being able to go back to older usernames. I think that we should only be allowed to change our name once during our time on TBT.

In my honest oppion, even though I've never changed my username, it would be nice if Jeremy would allow members to get their old Usernames back for FREE anytime they want them.

Problem is, people would abuse the name change system. *coughcough*
OCM once said something along the lines of "If you change your username, it shows how unoriginal you truly are."
Your surname defines you on the internet. It's basically your name that will stick with you whilst on the webs.
