the funny thing about playing in japanese is I don't even know what the english names are for all the fish and bugs (except through the wikis and other players griping about sea bass/black bass). So I'm really just connecting the picture of each fish and bug to the japanese name and going "okay, guess this fish's name is 'suzuki'."

the pun in the image is that 鈴木 (suzuki) is a common surname, while 鱸 (suzuki) is the fish. It's saying "It's not Mr. Suzuki, it's the fish suzuki!" the japanese puns are just as corny as the english ones

Some things I find amusing about my villagers:

I gave kid cat this crop top early on, and it's sporty so he really works it. He wears it more than any other clothes, even more than the superhero outfit I also gave him.

I gave Coco a tanuki statue. Tanuki statues in real life normally have gigantic testicles (for japanese folklore related reasons), though in the game the testicles just look like a big amorphous blob. Well, apparently the big blobby testicles are still too much for her to handle so she has the statue facing a wall in the corner.

been trying to give all my fruits/flowers a section of their own....

but i don't know what to do with the purple section!!!! It's such a mess. I spent a long time trying to get them in the first place, but now that I have them they're just a big purple blob that grows a little more every time it rains @_@

just go into your switch settings and change the language to japanese (or any other language) and the game will also change to that language.
