Switch Customization

I wonder if I'm the only one who wishes Switch had more customization to it. Don't get me wrong, Switch is my favorite console, but even compared to 3DS or Wii U - Switch just falls flat in terms of menu and interaction with other players. 3DS had multiple sweet themes you could apply to your dashboard menu, then there were mii and StreetPass; Wii U had a sweet board for posts and stuff. Then there was New 3DS with a ton of cover plates you could buy and make your console look adorable. ^-^

Am I the only one who wishes Switch had more customization and fun little things like Miiverse or like a dashboard for screenshots and posts, maybe even chat messages with stickers. @_@ Achievements would be nice, too.

What is your most desired feature / little thing that Switch is missing?
Also I wish there was like a little room you could go to and display your registered Amiibo inside Switch's menu. Like they have a display for Splatoon 2 amiibo in Splatoon 2. It'd be amazing!! I'm not sure why Switch is missing so many features that could have been easily added... is it because Wii U failed on the market and they didn't want to invest too much into Switch, fearing it'd fail, too? But still - Switch succeeded and they could just update it and add these features.

I want more themes too tbh. Miiverse probably didnt do as well as they hoped so now its shutting down.

Nintendo has never been too keen on social stuff, probably so the kids can remain safe. Its why you can only send pre picked messages half the time in their games. Splatoon was already risky with the pictures and messages people put in..

Also achievements maybe but i dont think theyve ever had them

They should have kept all the features the 3DS and Wii U had in regards to the home screen and utility. The switch is just a massive step back in both regards.

With the joycons being detachable too, they should release some 'flipped' joycons so I can have symmetrical controllers. I hate asymmetrical controllers, they're just not comfortable to me.

I actually would have liked the cardboard stuff, but it all looked big and clunky to me. But I'm sure it would be fun to assemble, regardless of age.

I don't think that's the reason - protecting kids. I mean, there's a ton of games that are pointlessly and not pointlessly violent and brutal on Switch. All of them are ports, of course but still. And there's that really good Parent Control system they've made, pretty sure they could disable messages and pictures in Splatoon, too but they kept those. :3

I agree. Wii U seems much better in terms of menu and dashboard.
As of assymetrical controller, your best choice would be to get a Pro Gamepad or something.

I've got one of the officially licenced ones but even that was asymmetrical...It also has a noticeable amount of input lag when it's not wired to the dock which is bad enough, but it makes gyro control nigh unusable (I like using the gyro control, so sucks especially).

Yeah I would like there to be homescreen themes and more avatar options too. :3
