Talking to the camper

I went into the tent and found Mathilda with her baby kangaroo today.

If I do not talk to her at all,
1) will she leave the next day?
2) will she eventually move in? (I currently have 10 residents, but one is moving out in 3 days)
3) will she come out and try to talk to me?
4) if someone from another town come visit her in the tent, will she move in to the next town?

Sorry, I don't know how to deal with campers. I just set up my campsite last week.

Campers just stay around for one day, and then they're gone. They don't move in unless you have 9 villagers or less and then ask them to move to town... and even if you do so, it sometimes will take several attempts (and/or games played against them) for them to agree. They don't leave the tent. :3 There are rumors that if a visitor talks to a camper enough, the option for the camper to move to their town will appear, but it's highly apocryphal and hasn't been proven.

I have 2 games. Game one had a camper, but had 10 villagers with no one moving out. My second game had 9 villagers, so they came over to talk to the camper. Played LOTS of games, but the camper never brought up the idea of moving to the other town.
