TBT Bells

I have no idea what they are. I have about 900 from being in Re-Tail and Adoption threads. I know they are used for items and such, but what are the items for? I'd like a clear elaboration, not just a one-line answer please. I'm still new here. >w<

EDIT: Along with that, what are Tickets for?

The items are just collectibles wich go under your avatar, just like my feathers and party popper, they "do"nothing special.
The tickets you could earn from the forum fair but that event is over now

and you can also use TBT bells to buy in game items, there is a special forum section to do that,

We do have a guide written about the Bells. I notice you also mentioned how people are trading Bells for villagers and items in the Villager Trading Plaza and Re-Tail boards, respectively. For that, we also have a guide about how to send Bells to another user. Enjoy!
