TBT: I don't get it

I would love your help understanding tbt please!

Ok. I have literally read every piece of info related to tbt on this site. I have reread them. I DON'T GET IT.

Could someone break it down for me as simple as possible, please? Is tbt the "bells" listed under my avatar? So if I currently have 127 bells, is that 127 tbt? So if someone is selling a tier x villager and it's 50 tbt, could I use 50 of my 127 bells to pay for it? Is that how it works? if that's not how it works, how DOES it work?

I've read up on how to earn tbt, I kinda get that. But I just don't know where the tbt is.

Also, how do people get SO MUCH igb? Like for 20m igb, what do you have to do to get that much? The most I've ever had is 3.1m igb and I thought that was a lot! Also, what is the igb to tbt conversion? Or is that not relevant???? Also, I just saw the term 'BTB' what the heck is that?!

Yes, the bells under your avatar is your TBT.

It's just the virtual currency for this website. It is easier to transfer TBT than a bunch of IGB and it can be used for more things. People use it for acnl related items, art, villagers, collectibles, forum shop add-ons, etc.

The game has been out for years, so people may have collected a lot through the island, turnips, buying and selling, etc. Some hack, but that's not allowed on this forum. The current conversion I've seen is usually 100 TBT:20 mill IGB.

Earning tbt is easier than earning a lot of Igb, at least that's what I find. So if you make a lot of posts on the discussion sections on this forum, build up your tbt, you can then sell it for Igb. I have about 300mil at the moment from selling tbt. Some of that also came from selling turnips but the majority of from the tbt. You could probably earn around 100 tbt within a couple of days of posting.

I agree, the best way to get igb is converting it to igb from tbt ^^
