Remember Creativity Alive? I'm sure next to none of you do. Also, Spam Site, and the first Off-Topic.

AC DS has its own board, 6 months before its release.

PIKMIN042 - Temp Admin. Say what? Anyways, the new names are put in, including he renaming of RP board to Gulliver's Tales (my name). Gamer's Lounge is up, which, if I remember correctly, came from Sporge's article in TBT's paper published on NSider.

TBT suffers from extreme forum overload. ACAC has just reached 1k pages, which is 10k posts. At least, that's what I assume was happening then. Wishing Well shows up.

Same skin. Same forums.

As far as I know the staff hasn't been focused on new forum things compared to the site, which is also gets a lack of attention. Right now the only new things that would be comming out would be from the members or the committees. *cough*

We need new members. It's the same 20 people its been for years, to be honest.

Ahaha, those were the days. We really do need to get those Committees going...
What are these "committees" I keep hearing about?

How about an advertising committee?

Also, I've said this before, but an AC theme could be rather off-putting for people looking for a video game forum. Perhaps after AC Wii comes out and we'll see if it'll have a lasting fanbase. What I am saying is that we would be better off with just a general Nintendo theme, but keep the name. Blasphemy, amirite?

An advertising committee is definitely a good idea...

Yeah, I've brought up the topic before, too. AC Wii is perhaps our last "saving grace", and I'm guessing there won't be an AC game for a while after it.

AC:WW is almost two years old, and it isn't dead, but not a whole lot of people are looking for an AC forum. AC Wii might be able to last longer with its supposed MMO aspect. That's an MMO I'd actually want to play.

Wow, that old already? I remember the night I got it. Time really does fly by when you are having fun. And about the ACWii thing, that really would bring in a lot new people into the playing experience, thus people would look for a board relating to it, especially with the MMO feature.

People come here all the time looking to play animal crossing. We tell them we don't play it anymore and they leave.

We don't really need much more advertising than what we've got now, we just need to keep the guys that actually come here. If you get enough of the ones that play animal crossing already to stay, more will come and play with them and it'll be self sustaining, then when they get bored of animal crossing, they'll either leave the board, or see what else we have to offer. We've got good word of mouth, I suggest we use that to our advantage.

Animal Crossing doesn't have enough momentum to keep a user base fresh, sadly. We'll have to see how AC Wii turns out first, but I really don't think it's enough to say that we play it, because even Wild World now is becoming outdated.

Yea, however shunning a the AC userbase completely isn't something we want to do.

I'm not shunning anything at all, and I'm talking about our userbase....

Do you actually get what I'm saying?

I think so.
You want to still keep AC here, but broaden the horizons to include gaming as a whole, correct?

If not, no, I don't get what you're saying.

Animal Crossing and AC:WW aren't good enough to keep drawing people in and keeping them, simply because the game lacks the ability to stay entertaining. The main problem with AC:WW is its tiny screen and controls, and the DS doesn't have as broad an appeal as consoles. I guess what I'm saying is that unless AC Wii introduces some way to keep people playing and buying it for years, we're going to need to change strategy, or face having a very slow forum, with very few new frequent members.
