This isn't the same as the other thread, I'd like this one to be a bit more organized so as to give people a better opportunity to play with people in the community, but to also give people in the community better tools to get into the game and join in on the fun.
Here is a google Docs Spreadsheet to see everyone who plays on here.
You don't have to add yourself if you don't want to, but it's just something to give ease of access if so desired. The spreadsheet is a great way to find people here on TBT who are at a similar level of play as you so you can play together.
I also made a Chat Room on the NA Server called "TBT" for anybody who would want to be in there for more ease of access. I don't have a Chat Room on any other serversbecause NA > EU because I don't have a main account on any other servers.
Free Champion Rotation
If this gets popular enough, I'd like to hold small tournaments with prizes, but we'll have to see for that in the future.

Hi, if you're looking at this you must be new to the game. League can be a difficult game to learn because it's a game that's centered around in-game knowledge as opposed to player skill like most games. Despite it's difficulty to learn, once you break that initial hurdle, it can be a very fun game with endless replayability.
How to get your feet wet:
When you first start up the game, I highly recommend doing all the tutorials before heading into any actual games. This is especially the case if you don't know anything about MOBAs at all.
While the tutorials are a bit dated, they should give you the general gist of how to play the game.
From there, in my opinion, you should play Beginner bots until you are level 5, and then intermediate bots until you are level 10.
This isn't at any insult to you, but League has a very bad problem with what we like to call "smurfs" at lower levels. Smurfs are higher level players who make lower level accounts for a variety of reasons. If you're new to League, you will definitely not have a fun time playing with these players. The good news is, that the game has a built-in smurf detection system on it's matchmaking, and by the time these players hit level 10 they're filtered out from the legitimately new players.
Another thing you might have noticed is that the champions available to you aren't the same as the free champion rotation posted above. Players level 5 and below have a unique free champion list to help them learn the game.
Here is that list:
For each lane, I recommend the following champions to learn the game:
Tank/Fighter (Top): Garen. He is very easy to play, doesn't die easily, and is all around a strong champion.
Mage (Mid or support): Lux. Mid lane requires a little more finesse and Lux is a champion to help you learn to land vital skills. She's good at most stages of the game and has one of my favorite ultimates of all time.
ADC (Bot): Jinx. Jinx is what we like to call a "hyper carry", meaning if she gets enough of a lead, she will single-handedly win a game due to her insane damage output come late game. I recommend her because she has a smooth feeling to her moveset, and she teaches how to properly play an ADC.
I don't recommend attempting to jungle until level 10. You don't unlock the summoner spell "smite" that is required to jungle until that time, and so doing so beforehand can be a nightmare.
In reality, any champion can be played anywhere as any role. However, there are specific roles and playstyles for each champion that are way more optimal. This is what we call "the meta". Each lane in the meta generally has it's own set of champions that play there.
Top Lane usually has tanks and close range fighters with the occasional mage. (Such as Ryze)
Mid Lane is usually magic users and assassins.
Bottom Lane is usually a duo lane - with one of the champions being an ADC (which stands for Attack Damage Carry, otherwise known as Marksmen) and a support. Supports are champions who can provide a lot of utility to their team on very little gold income. A good support pick will be able to do the same thing whether they have 10 kills or 0 kills, meaning they usually give all the money in lane to their Marksman so they can become very strong.
Jungle is the most versatile role. Any champion who can conceivably excel in the jungle can play this role. The Jungler roams between the jungle that separates the lanes and provides assistance for his team by ambushing, or "ganking" the enemy team.
I realize this a very big "information dump" and might not be very appealing to read and that's okay. All of this can be learned in game by just playing.
If you are ever interested in having someone help ease you into the game, you can add me and I'd be more than willing to help with that process. My in game name is "Zephyrolol" and I'm on the NA server. Just please PM me on here before you add me in-game so I know who you are.
I'm not the best of teachers, but these people are. If you ever need any champion specific advice, or advice on the game in general, there are very high level players there always willing to give advice to newer players and help them learn.
