TBT Learning struggles

Hi I'm not very familiar with forums and I've forgotten a lot since I was last really active which made me run into a few problems. I would also like to have other people post any of their problems on here in the event that they're solved we can all learn how to fix them!

#1 Recently I was setting up a thread on Nook's Cranny and accidently posted it early while I was planning to post it later this week when I had time to actually fulfil the orders so is there a way to delete threads I've made?

#2 In the past I set my replies to auto-merge and although it is convenient for some cases I have no idea how to disable it!! It has caused troubles with me trying to bump previous threads too :C

#3 I also know there is a way to change your username, however I've forgotten that too...

I’m not that good at explaining but I tried ;-;

(1) I don’t think there’s a way to delete threads but you could lock the thread so no one can reply.

(2) theres no way to disable auto-merge, if your bumping a thread and don’t want it to merge you have to wait 4 hours to bump it

(3) to change your username you have to purchase the username change in The tbt shop

um rubombee’s explanation is probably more accurate

#1 If you wanna delete the thread and remake it, you can report it, and in the report say you posted too early & need it to be deleted! In the meantime (in case a staff member doesn't see it immediately), you can lock the thread (it's in the … option somewhere around the top of the thread I think) so no one answers, & maybe edit the title/content to say it was an accidental post.

#2 That probably happened because you tried to bump too early! There's a 4h limit in TBT Marketplace and a 2h limit in Nook's Cranny, iirc. I don't remember all the allowed times, I'd say to check the rules to be sure!

(3) There’s a username change item in the shop that costs 1,200 TBT or 10 seashells. The shop is at the upper right corner of the forum. You buy it, and then configure it in your inventory and enter your new username.

Oooh I that makes sense this was really helpful I'm very grateful!!

Hi everyone I have a new question, I drew a signature for myself and Ik there needs to be a url in order for the image to be uploaded on here. I've tried using imagur but the link doesn't provide me just the photo it includes how many people have seen it and a share button. What sites or tools could I use for my signature to be displayed cleanly?

imgur's been being funky lately but you should be able to get the image url there by right clicking the photo and hitting "copy image address/url"

I’ve noticed that when downloading my sig from Imgur it loads it as a gif but it adds a “v” at the end. I just delete the “v” and it fixes the problem. I hope that was at all helpful.
