As you can tell, we don't really have a queue at the moment. My train of thought that this isn't really a bad thing, but I was curious what everyone else's thoughts were. My opinions on the queue are as follows:
1. With games usually lasting upwards between 2-4 weeks, it can take ages to move from 5th to 1st in the queue. I feel as though the queue kind of slugs people along to host rather than provide the freedom our current system has.
2. The "Polite Anarchy" as I've labeled it doesn't really seem to have any issues. Given that we're already talking about games in the Discord server on a regular basis, I'm not sure it's that big of a deal to maintain the queue.
3. It just seems like queues are doomed to fail at some point. Everyone who has managed the queue at one point or another has ended up getting bored with it and not updating it, leaving things in a bit of confusion.
I can see the value in that the queue can provide a host time to make a quality game, however. Games such as Tina's "Call the Ships to Port" with its fancy graphics and writing did make for a stellar game. I think that the sluggishness of the queue can be circumvented by reducing it from 5 slots in a category to 3 instead. Let me know your thoughts.
One more thing: I personally am not super interested in maintaining the queue myself, but I wouldn't mind it if people would rather have it in the TBT Mafia General Thread.
