TBT to IGB

I swear, I tried looking it up, but the threads I managed to find were outdated. Anyway.
I'm looking to trade in my TBT for IGB, but I'm wondering the following;

1) What's the conversion rate?
2) How does this work? Does the person drop off a thousand bags of 90k bells in someone's town?? Do they use Re-Tail? Are there any more efficient methods??

Typically, the conversion rate in 200k IGB = 1 TBT, but it's still not set in stone. In terms of how it works, most people drop the bells off at their town's but some will request to do the Re-Tail method where the host will set up an item for 999,999 bells in which you would buy instead of, for instance, dropping off bells bags.

I've bought IGB before and literally sat there forever as the person dropped of a TON of bags, like canvasing my whole town, I mean sure it's tedious and time consuming but running through an endless field of bell bags is pretty nice too

Ah, yeah, haven't done the Re-Tail method in about a year myself, sorry.

I always did it where i set up an extra ABD in a house near my town's train station, so the person delivering the bells runs back and forth to the ABD on main street and dropping bells at the train station plaza outside, then once theyve dropped the bells, i'm picking them up and running to my extra ABD to make the deposit. It's hectic and fun, almost like a relay race.

the drawback to the retail method for the person receiving the bells, is that the bells dont get credited to your account by Retail until the next day...
