So, I need TBT Bells. But posting doesn't earn me enough Bells and I don't know how to do anything other than make graphics with PicMonkey. Sooo, I was wondering if someone could teach me to make signatures with the character pixel art. I have GIMP on Mac for making them.

I could pay, but I'm poor here and on ACNL (I restarted a few days ago), so yeah. Could I have lessons?

If you get photoshop you can do some awesome stuff^~^
Me however since I dont have a laptop(hopefully will receive one for Christmas)
So I use Picsart on my phone. It's not very good but it has great
Art,borders, backgrounds, etc. And the packages are low priced so
Yeah. It works awesomely IMO. You can get that though depending on your
Phone. I have an Samsung Galaxy 2. It has the Google play store so yeah.
It makes decent sigs. If you try hard enough there's some great things you can do.
The app works well enough that you can get hands on a good amount of bells.
So if you get that I can tell you anything though it's not hard. It's easy to get
The hang of. If you open a Sig shop then good luck ^~^. Like I said. If you get that
And you want a recommended way of something I can tell you.
Good Luck! Great you made me want to re open my Sig shop I had but it failed miserably....

Well I just tried to do it with picmonkey and the result is my sig so :3. You just have to look up acnl villager pixels on google, then save them. After that just use overlay on picmonkey.

Any graphic program could pull this off. The two best options are Photoshop and MS paint (though the latter cannot do transparency so you'd have to get something like IrfanView to solve this-- its quick though so don't fret about it).

Basically a signature goes like this:

1- A background. This always comes first. I can't help you here, as its up to you; do you want a square, round, circular, oval? Ms paint probably has the simplest shape drawing tool, as Photoshop's shapes need rasterizing which takes extra steps.

If you are on MS paint I recommend saving this as a separate file in case you want to go back and redo it. On Photoshop you can just have it on a separate layer.

2- Work out the design. Most signatures have the friend code, or villagers or whatever. Draw it out on paper if you need to visual it. Make sure each new area is saved separately/put on different layer so you can revert decisions easily.

Isn't much else to it, the steps depend on what you are after.

PS I do signatures for 200 bells.

Thanks guys. I don't have the money to afford Photoshop (I'm not even 13 yet, so do you expect me to have money for it?) but I do appreciate everything you guys have told me. I use PicMonkey alot and I'll try overlay. By the way, I'm on Mac so I don't have Paint.

Like I said, I need the money for an add-on in the Shop so that's why I want to learn. It's a good way to make Bells.

In your OP, you say you have GIMP. In my opinion, GIMP functions very similarly to photoshop. And if all you intend to do is make siggys, GIMP will do everything you need and more.

A program will not make the end result "good". It is the process in which you do things that will dictate the end result. There are loads of tutorials out there that will teach you how to do basically anything. You can probably find them by just searching up GIMP tutorials online. That's what I did when I was trying to learn.

Just remember that it takes time to learn, and you won't magically become great overnight.

Yes, I do have GIMP. But considering I don't know how to combine a bunch of images into one picture, I can't quite use it yet.

I'm going to keep practicing, but I'll stick with simple signatures that portray everything I want it to; my villagers and town fruit.

I think there is a Mac version of MS paint (different name though). I'd have to look it up though.
