I think it's good to learn something knew every day.

So, like the title says: Tell me something I don't know

Smoking cigarettes gives you more radiation then being in space ^-^

You have to be dead first.

Eugh, I didn't read the second bit and was searching the net for half an hour before realizing what you said. You got me good ^-^

Hahaha! I love it, thank you! I was really confused at first too and was about to go online searching.

in around 30 or so years, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish, if we don't do something about plastic :c

You can't actually see light waves. Light waves are so so minusculey tiny that they're not visible to the naked eye. You can only see that the light waves reflect off.

Okay, so it's my turn to contribute. I love etymology of words, and one of my favorites is the word: barbarian.

The word comes from latin, barbarus, meaning foreigner or savage. The latin word came from a greek word (one which I can't spell), also meaning foreigner or non-Greek. And where did the Greeks get their word? They were basically making fun of the language of non-Greeks because to them, everything else sounded like bar-bar-bar (or like blah-blah-blah) to us. So yea, the ancient Grecians were just making fun of people and we just all ran with it, haha. I love em.

Another fact that light is actually comprised of something called a Photon which is a packet of some sorts that has properties of both a wave and a particle. Scientists discovered this when performing experiments on light.

Another creepy thing is found when looking at things in quantum sizes. You can always know the state of something but not its exact location and if you know some things exact location you cannot know what state it is in. It's like there's some divine power preventing us from knowing everything and it's so creepy O-O
