So Im cycling trying to find some characters and move some to my main game and I have run into a weird little exploit... Im not sure how easily reproduced it is but I've been logging my passed 2 cycles to try and see if there is a pattern of some sort.
First Cycle I didnt mess with time, just the day.
9/3 Begin
9/4 Tent
9/5 New Neighbor
9/14 Neighbor packed

Cycle 2 (I began moving the time to 1:30pm every time)

Not sure if this is just a coincidence but I'm getting a tent almost every day just by TTing day by day at 1:30 every time. Some days there is no tent but it comes back a day or two after which is sooner then 1-2 times a week. (Also yes every tent has a NEW resident)
Note: I reset back to 9/3 on the day the neighbor is packed as the time skip from the pack day backwards doesnt seem to count. Can move an entire month or two without the game noticing.
