The Annoyance of Native Fruits

I am getting sick and tired of this. I got the game around 10 AM, and am STILL trying to get a decent island. I have tried over 60 times and only about 15 of them have had Apples or Cherries. And everytime I DO get them, they are not who I am looking for. I got Shari twice and Mira once, but while I love them, I am really just wanting to start with Muffy, Cherry, or Rory, while having Apples or Cherries as the fruit. But about 35 of the times I have tried I got the worst fruit, pears.

I wish we could just PICK our fruit.
