This journal of mine will probably be messy and inconsistent My island is Anubis and my villagers name is Sapphire. I have the NSYNC No Strings Attached album cover as my island flag because I’m that type of gay person, and started out playing with New Leaf.

I love writing,reading and besides video games love crafts and art. So taking a crack at an island journal seems appropriate for me. Besides that my pronouns are she/her and I’m twenty years old.

Today was the first snow! Culturally first snows are important to me, and I was happy to see it was snowing in the game, I didn't think to grab any pictures though. I also think it took me a good fifteen minutes to piece together my first winter look.

I play with my family a lot, so around nine this morning my mom called and we compared turnip prices. Mine were at 100, cheaper than hers. She came over and we exchanged some gifts, bought turnips and went to the Ables store together.

I saved the game for a while and came back around two. It had stopped snowing which meant my villagers took off their cute little hats. I was still in my heavy winter gear though so I changed my outfit again.

I wanted to fix up the fishing area I have over on one of the beaches. I recently bought an item with some poki that I thought would look nice over in that area. The top is before and bottom after, its not too much a change but still.

After that I decided it would be good to do some general pick up of weeds, flowers and mushrooms. I bumped into Rowan who invited me over to his house. He asked if I wanted to buy anything. I knew that saying no would hurt his feelings, so I asked for his koi fish and he surprisingly denied! I ended up with his monstera plant and a copy of Surfin K.K he gave me as a gift. I’ll have to remember to gift him a plant soon.

I broke my shovel went to Nooks to buy a new one, I find diy’ing a bit tedious. Bought the watermelon umbrella while I was there too. I headed to Harvs after picking up and emptying my pockets again.

I got my hair done too of course! I got a style I haven't unlocked yet and one that was cute I only recently started playing again regularly. November was busy for me. So that means I’m a bit behind in uncovering a lot of 2.0 stuff.

From Harvs I went to work. There was a scooter worth 11,700 poki and I bought it immediately. It was so cute, not sure where I’m going to put it, maybe outside Nooks? Anyways, Flip had an idea I wanted to try out; a spa. He also turned out being my tenth client and we had a little work party.

After Flip I worked with Bianca. She was the first client I had who specifically asked for a winter vacation home so I was excited to mess around with that terrain. But I ended up struggling with her yard.

Leif also appeared on the beach while I was hunting for new clients. He was planning on giving a talk about flowers at the school but was a bit lost so I helped him out. Beau was my next client and he wanted to picnic picnic picnic. I closed the game again but knew I’d be on later to meet up for a trade.

Or well, I planned on saving and going to eat dinner but then I had unlocked the restaurant and couldn't resist!

I'm back! Monday wasn't too eventful. I went about to Nooks, Ables, and Harvs but didn't really buy much. So I headed to work and did two homes before logging off for the day.

Today was much more exciting. Anabelle had moved out and Flora was in! Anabelle was was fun, I loved her colors, but I wasn't particularly attached to her. I couldn't remember what villager Flora was so I was excited to see her design, her house, everything. Was so pleased to find a cute flamingo.

I bumped into Rowan on my way to Nooks. I gifted him another plant as promised. I'll have to visit him to see if he put it in the exact same spot.

After talking to Rowan I headed off to Nooks. I bought turnips Sunday and the price today was 169. It was an okay price, I sold one row of turnips from my pockets, that way I wouldn't have to empty out my tools when I found a better price later.

Monday I had bought some paradise planning chocolate. Was unaware that when you gifted them the villager would ask for a vacation home! It was a pleasant surprise at least because Nan is one of my favorites (she's up there with Wolfgang on my favs list) Her house is on the way from Nooks to the airport so I stopped there to visit and gift.

I did two others homes, Lopez wanted a high end city apartment which was such a fun theme. I think it is one of the better homes I've designed so far. Tex the penguin, wanted a studio space for his band practice. Theme's like that are great too because they are more straight forward.

I get back to the office and Bree comes in. She was a villager of mine in New Leaf, and the second villager I designed a home for. Bree asked for a roommate, and I thought there would be some dialogue between me and the character I asked to be her roommate but nope. So Kyle just jumped into a new living situation. Love Kyle btw.

This time when I got back to the office, Wardell was on his break looking at the ocean. The area I live in irl is land locked and all I could think of during this lovely little cut scene was how humid the air would be.

After my little break with Wardell I wanted to take a crack at decorating the cafe. I had unlocked it over the long weekend but hadn't wanted to deal with it until today. I was happy with how it turned out, I had a better picture of what I wanted vs when I was trying to layout the restaurant and school.

I played almost every day last week but less Nookazon trading, island rearranging, and bell making. It was a lot more cozy on Anubis, maybe it was the colder weather. But here are some outfits from last week;

I spent most of last week messing around with custom designs. I think every couple of months I have the urge to make some dresses and outfits. This time around it was another set of DC characters, Green Lantern and Static Shock. I want to make a nice post for the designs though. I have Signal, Blue Beetle, Green Lantern, and Static now. I'll probably do some more before I go to Harvs to take pics.

And! When I was about to save the game Muffy stopped by wearing one of my Blue Beetle designs

Here are some paradise planning pics. I really like the dlc but I feel like I'm getting complacent in my layouts. There were a couple orders that didnt take too long or much thinking from me that felt less engaging, probably means I'm just a bit burnt out on the game and need to stop playing like I'm dying.

The other exciting thing from last week was my turnips were 566 on Tuesday? Wednesday? One of the days last week, I'm in the Nookazon discord and posted my prices there and was able to help 10 people with their turnips before I had to log off. Ive only had my prices that I think one other time, it was fun to host even if I had some mishaps with the placement of the pipes but still p.s I really hate how the site changes my little smileys into emojis they have different vibes

Have been playing less and less lately. My island is designed for spring/summer so I tend to loose motivation in the winter. Its come to the point where I've considered re-doing my entire island but whenever I think about what I would do or want to add I think of stuff my current island has. Since my last post here I probably get on one-twice a week. But anyways

This is from when the snow finally came in full force. Its so pretty and I do like the cold weather in real life, but it really does hamper my will to play for some reason.

Eric tried to move out when I came back one week!!! Absolutely not!!! I love him so much, hes one of my favs. I so appreciate how the villagers don't move away without asking first. The stress in New Leaf to write letters and keep up with the villagers was crazy! I do miss some of their more snippy remarks though, but I if I had a villager yell at me these days it would be the last straw. Had weed build up for the first time in a long time too, I took so many pictures of the weeds all over the island.

Ah! I played a lot this past week, and started rearranging the island on Monday. Of course, I wanted to dress accordingly.

Here is the plan I had for the island; I move the laundromat to where the outdoor spa currently is. Break down the terraforming of the laundromat and make room for two villager houses. Move Teddy and Muffy to the new area. Move the museum cafe to the empty area below Nooks, move the carnival that's outside the museum to where the outdoor library currently is. Lastly, move the rainbow garden out to the front of the museum.

Here is the empty laundromat and empty rainbow garden. Moving those flowers was probably the most tedious of the work. I broke two shovels

WOLFGANG MY LOVE <3 Him and Coach were my best buds back on my New Leaf game. I have Wolfgangs Amiibo but I decided against moving him onto my island because I'm 80% it would end with me recreating my New Leaf town. Still it was nice to see my old buddy at the campsite and play some games with him.

Top picture here is the cafe/carnival before I moved it. I'll get some better cafe pics for the next journal, but for now you can have the new carnival area! Its below/next to my disco. Wish I had more room for maybe ringside tables.

Here is a crappy spa pic, I actually love this area but ultimately I don't think it fit with the rest of the island. I wanted kinda small town, lazy city type of feeling. The spa seemed more out in the country or more rural. After cleaning out the spa items I called it a night.

Next morning I got right to work testing out new concrete paths for the laundromat. I decided to use the two darker paths. I laid them on the ground randomly and liked the look of it. I also only had enough of the steel blue fencing to cover about half of the area, I'm going to have to trade for some iron.

My brother came to hang out and see the changes. We made the usual rounds to the shops and exchanging items we both needed. These last pics of the DLC are from this morning. I had been pushing off playing over there because I knew I'd be having to go through tons of dialogue soon with getting closer to the special event goal. But the ending animation was so cute omg.

And I had so much fun designing the apparel shop! I centered the whole thing around the earth rug, and by the time I was done I realized "hey this looks like your favorite preset shop theme from the og style savvy game" but I'll probably be redesigning the other facilities on the island to be more fun like this!

Spoiler: blah blah blah its me

Been awhile but don't worry I have been playing. I actually finished my island! At least decoration wise I have, now maybe I'll get all my nook miles for fishing and getting my villagers pictures. As I was laying down my final pieces of path, cutting down my last trees and planting perfectly placed flowers, I realized "hey...isnt this the same color scheme of my new leaf town....and actually didnt I decide on the stone bridges in new leaf too?" Bittersweet I guess. So in the future I plan to post some pictures of my new leaf town in this journal!

But for now I just came here to post some of my recent rooms in happy home paradise!

Phoebe wanted a fiery festival, the outside of the house is a beach party.

Anabelle has a nice two story house with a big fountain out front. I gave her a very elegant bedroom but wanted the kitchen to be a little more cozy.

Tucker wanted a place to camp out and study archeology. I put together this shabby looking apartment space with a nicer office space for the upstairs. But I don't know I really like the comfy feel of it, kinda reminds me of a dorm lol.

Want to make a really nice journal to show off my island now that its done. Or maybe I should make separate parts??? Who knows
