Has anyone tried the color oracle? It's a quick test where you rank colors by how pleasing they are to you and gives you an interpretation based the psychological connotations of the colors you chose.

For me it's always been crazy accurate. I've taken it 3 times now and it's handed my butt to me each time.
(It even knew this latest time I picked up new hobbies)

I think it's super interesting and worth taking a few minutes to do. Post your results if you like, or at least how accurate it was for you. :)

eh ive taken it a few times before but i dont rly think it is super accurate. it's kinda general and vague lol

i only liked about 5 of those colours and the rest i just chose but they were all ugly and unpleasing lol. feels like im doing a zodiac reading

That was fascinating and the first time I ever did that. Very accurate, especially my first two; "optimistic self-encouragement ...unwavering stability."

This was interesting and surprisingly accurate for me as well. I found a lot of the reading was definitely reflective of what's going on in my life right now, it wasn't vague, rather it pinpointed exactly how I feel when I'm on a high and also on a low, and what exactly triggers those feelings. Pretty cool, thanks for sharing!

I just took it for the first time ever and it is EXTREMELY accurate for my given situation! Im super shocked I expected it to be more vague haha. Such a cute little quiz.

I just did this and I can see why people are finding the results accurate and detailed - these are very well-written for what they are. But like horoscopes and tarot readings (apologies to believers, I'm trying to be as diplomatic as I can), this quiz uses common psychological exploits to make generic descriptions and suggestions seem much more personal and direct to the individual reader.

This temptation to read personal meaning into a general description is recognised by psychologists, who refer to it as the Barnum Effect (after American showman PT Barnum?s famous line, ?We?ve got something for everyone?). We are all surprisingly willing, according to psychologist Bertram Forer, to attribute the vaguest personality descriptions to ourselves.

In 1948, Forer gave each of his students a personality test, telling them they were receiving a unique outline of their character and asking them to rate its accuracy. In fact, the outline was identical, but the students each rated it as an excellent description of themselves. This experiment has been repeated hundreds of times with similar results.

I didn't find my results to be accurate, in particular the "general disposition" section :

Your General Disposition
At the present time, your behavior is characterized by your need for inner peace. You are very saddened when you encounter difficulties in dealing with someone because for you, interpersonal harmony is a worthwhile ideal and the prerequisite for finding satisfaction and inner peace. To your sorrow, though, dissonance is an unavoidable ingredient of every human relationship.

I think my colour preferences say a lot about me, but in this case my choices showed my love of particular shades of blue and green and that's about it lol.

:)
