no it is just there... But you an throw your axe in the fountain in your town after donating $500, 000 for a chance to get a gold or ilve axe..But watch out, you may not get your axe back!

The fountain in the CITY is just there for.....scenery?
The one you get for DONATING 500,000 bells after the bridge, you throw an axe into it and you either:
1)get the same axe
2)get a gold axe
3)get a silver axe
or 4) lose it.

Actually The Fountain Is Useful For Getting A Golden Axe Or Silver Axe U Got To Throw Your Axe Into The Fountain Then This Spirit Appears And You Have To Go Threw This Talking Crap..
