Hey guys, welcome back to MisterM's Blog for Animal Crossing Beginners. Today, I'm going to teach you how to get the golden shovel. This is a very simple thing to do in Animal Crossing: Wild World and City Folk, but it is a little more complicated in the gamecube version of the game. Let's start off with Wild World and City Folk. We'll get to the gamecube version in a few moments. So, all you need is 2 shovels. Dig a hole in the ground with one shovel and bury one of the two shovels. Leave buried for approximately 24 hours then come back and dig it up again. When you dig it up, it'll be a golden shovel. That's all there is to it!

However, like a said before, it's a little more complicated in the gamecube version of the game. Like last time, you will need two shovels. Now, start off by finding the golden space that can be found once everyday. When you find it, dig in the spot, but, don't fill it back in again! Instead, bury one of the 2 shovels in the glowing hole. When you do this, you will see a golden sapling appear out of the ground. Now, since this is the gamecube version of Animal Crossing you will need to return to the acre that you buried the tree in everyday for the tree to grow properly, so, this will require some dedication. (Only for about 5 days.) When the tree is full-grown it will be a beautiful golden tree. Shake it, and your golden shovel will fall out of it.

This thing is great! It will allow you to dig up 100 bell bags even if it doesn't look like there's anything buried when you dig! (This is only in the gamecube version, however, it is also useful for growing money trees in all versions on the game.)

Well, that's all I've got today. I hope this explanation was easy to understand and it made sense. I'll be back again when I have more tips for you guys! Until then, good bye and good luck!
