We are the national library of Mosswood. Here you can access hundreds of thousands of artefacts that we have collected since the Town of Mosswood was founded in 2011; we brought them with us to Mosswood Island so that we can continue to educate Mosswood's residents and guests. You can find many different written texts, sound recordings, drawings, and maps within our collection. We also host the complete archives of Mosswood Island's history.

Mosswood was founded on March 10th 2021. It rose from the ashes of my former island, Moss Haven, which was burnt down after one of the residents forgot about the pizza they were cooking and caused an island-wide fire (do not fear, no residents were harmed during the accident - except for my deadname islander who is now non-existent and possibly Tom Nook's wallet as he's had to get us a new patch of land). I will finish this later.

I would like to take a brief moment of silence for my fallen island, Moss Haven.
It was founded in July 2020 and had 270+ hours put into it.

I made the decision to restart as my islander was named after my birth name (aka. my deadname) and seeing the villagers using that name was making me feel super dysphoric. The AC franchise has always been a safespace for me to escape to and therefore being deadnamed was ruining that and caused me to stop playing as regularly as I used to before I came to terms with who I really am. It was actually a really hard decision to make as I had already put so many hours into Moss Haven but I know I can get back to where I was easily (I'll just have to do a cheeky bit of time traveling) and I get a lot of euphoria seeing the name (my new name!) 'Harley' being used by the NPCs of the game.

Rest in peace *deadname*. Gone and never hopefully forgotten by everyone one day.
