Mayor of Longmoor
Going off with a bang:
Today, 4th August, the fireworks show was hosted - for the first time this year. There was much anticipation up to the event, which started promptly at 7PM. We asked some of the villagers on their thoughts:
Isabelle told us: "You know, its one of the biggest events of the year, and it's so nice to see everyone getting into it and having a good time!"
However, Brewster (owner of 'The Roost' café), mentioned: "As great as it might seem, the fireworks show can be a nuisance. As you may (or may not) know, our store is located right by the event plaza so the fireworks and goings on are very noisy; this puts people off of visiting, as we have found profit losses for the first time since we opened on July 22nd.
The fireworks show will be held every Sunday in August, starting at 7PM.

So, mayor, what are your future plans for the town?
"Well, I believe that the villagers should have some say in the projects that we carry out. We have had a few suggestions, which I am taking into consideration currently. But if something strikes my eye, then we'll go for it."
Has anyone moved in or out of Longmoor recently?
"No, but Gala today told me she was going to move out soon, but as one of the longest and most respected villagers of the town, I managed to convince her to stay."
Are you pleased with the results of the fireworks show?
“I am very pleased with the outcome of this event, and it has been received very well with the residents. Super T&T got into the spirit by selling firework and party themed items all throughout August. Obviously, it has been quite costly but we wanted to provide the residents of Longmoor with something to enjoy. Bones has had a very good day today, as it is his birthday! I managed to pop round and have a quick chat with him, which is always nice.”
