The Photobooth: A missed opportunity?

Hello everyone know that photo booth on main street? The machine most people will only use a few times the machine that could've been easily replaced with porter just being able to snap a photo of you so you can explore other towns?
I feel like Nintendo missed a great opportunity with it. Since AC:NL encourages photos I feel like they could've made an entire shop based around the photo booth.

So you're able to view your AC photos while still in game and even be able to show your friends in a movie theater kinda setting only with picture slides. you could also be able to add filters to your photos B&W, sepia, negative, etc, etc, etc purchase frames for your photos so you can hang it up in your home.

I even came up with an idea for the shop owner he could be a sophisticated elephant (because you know what they say - an elephant never forgets and has a photographic memory.) named "Snap" yea I;m not to keen on the name either same level of corniness as Leif, lol.

I like this idea a lot! It also would have been a cool addition to have classic photo booth type pics of you and a friend. I WiFi with my best gf all the time- we need pics of us in a crowded photo booth making silly faces (no duckfaces though).

As I was taking a picture one time, I tried hitting random buttons. Not sure what I pressed, but my photo came out black and white.

L button for B&W R button for Sepia or vise versa.

And I think if they REALLY wanted to it would be possible to add (not saying it would be easy) because of the option to update the game at the title screen.

My most current criticism: why is it ONLY the Mayor that can interact w/ the Public Works Projects? *body slams pillow* Nobody uses the bench or the water sink/lever. No one comments on these Public Works! *hugs pillow to death*

What do you mean by interact do you mean start them? And it would be nice if the villagers commented on how good of a damn job I'm doing haha.

This is the first AC game where the villagers are actually able to sit on anything, though. xD I think most won't sit down very often, because they're dialogue changes to where they can't give you a job to do.

What do you mean by interact do you mean start them?

Garrett, no one sits on the Yellow Bench. That Water Lever project which looks great & if your Mayor interacts w/ it, water flushes out. Kinda nice. I also built the Well, but what a waste, there's no animation of any kind. Also, the Cut Out Board... it's right there villagers! Plant your face there so I can snap a pic!

All this is ignored. Tons of Bells will be invested into the Public Works... is that routine 'Completed' celebration the ONLY recognition it gets from everyone besides the Mayor? :sad face:

What they should have done is make it like the Japanese purikura (photo sticker) machines. Basically you could have backgrounds, write text on them, be able to have friends take pictures in the booth with you, etc. And then the machine should print out the pictures so you could display them in your house.

Maybe they could've even had a way to invite your townies to come take pictures with you too.

You pressed either R or L. I forgot if L was sepia, or if L was b/w.
