Hey there! I thought I might open up a discussion about one of the features of Happy Home Designer that I think really marks Nintendo as a progressive company. I mainly wanted to talk about the super awesome feature of choosing your skin tone.
Many people talked about why you were not allowed to choose your skin tone in the New Leaf game, seeing as it was the twenty first century, but I believe it was somewhat okay for them to make that decision because Japan doesn't have a huge expanse of racial skin tones. And yes, they did offer the tanning portion of the game, but keeping and maintaining your tan was really hard.
So, that is why I'm looking forward to Happy Home Designer! From the trailer it looks like you can have a darker skin tone or a lighter one. I think this is extremely forward for Nintendo seeing as its original main audience was for Japanese people, but now they are changing the aesthetics of the game to fit everyone around the world. You go Nintendo!
