Here, in this topic, you can voice your opinion on the little differences between Wild World and City Folk that either you enjoy or dislike. Most of the time, this topic will focus on complaints rather than compliments, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't post what you liked about the game.
I will keep a list in this topic's first post of everyone's opinions as both pros and cons of the game. I will also voice my own opinion on this as well.
I can't say that this list will be submitted to Nintendo or anything, but at least all of us can get this off our chests.
Well, let's begin.
Pros
1. Collin: "City Folk has better graphics than Wild World."
2. Leonardo: "The online play is better."
3. pootman1234: "There are a lot more items in City Folk, including the 4 new Gracie Furniture Sets. Not to mention this game also has DLC and special region-only items that its predecessor (Wild World) did not. Plus it also added Silver Tools to the mix."
4. DaltonSSD: "I like that City Folk has 4 houses like Animal Crossing Gamecube, instead of having all four players live under one roof."
5. DaltonSSD: "I like that City Folk reintroduced the cliffs and waterfalls from Animal Crossing Gamecube."
6. DaltonSSD: "I like that City Folk allows you to change Nook's shop once a month once you get all the upgrades."
7. DaltonSSD: "I like that City Folk has a larger town size than Wild World."
8. Shadow's Wrath: "Assuming that you have a strong signel to begin with, City Folk's WiFi connection strength is quite admirable. Unlike in Wild World, I've never suffered a disconnection once in my town."
9. (none)
Cons
1. Shadow's Wrath: "In Wild World, after just entering Nook's shop, you could just press the A button to talk to him. In City Folk, you now have to move foward a little bit, THEN press A to talk to him. This irritates me."
2. ricano4life: "The city never really changes...no events are held there."
3. Shadow's Wrath: "The "pointing system" (where you point the Wii Remote at the screen and get a cursor) is overly enforced. Unlike in Wild World, (with it's option of using the buttons instead of the stylus) there is no system in use that the player can use to work without using a pointer cursor entirely, (don't quote me exactly on that) assuming that they have only a Wii Remote or a Wii Remote and Nunchuk. The Nunchuk DOES help though, but if you have the Wii Remote pointed at the screen, it prioritizes the pointer cursor's A button commands over the buttons themselves. A good example of this is when using the golden shovel to hit rocks for bells. If the cursor hits the screen while doing so, you're probably going to miss hitting the rock at least once."
4. cornymikey: "City Folk does not have the photos of the neighbors or the main characters in the game."
5. xYoh: "My personal pet peeve is that there is no EarthBound/Mother furniture in the game."
