Do you think the reason villagers were cut from gamecube to other games is because of the birthday thing and they don't want birthdays to be doubled up? in New leaf there is 332 villagers this gives them room to add more for the next installment, if they added back all the ones from gamecube there would be room?

Maybe because of loss of game space? Or maybe because they want new villagers.

Well, some villagers aren't known to have a birthday. And in the real world, thousands of people's birthdays double up, so I dunno why it's a problem. I agree, it may be not enough space to put them in. But we could still make Nintendo bring some of them back.

some of the retired villagers didn't come off as distinct or unique as some of the newer villagers. a few also had some questionable or weiiiird names..

examples:

- nosegay (anteater)
- dyck (bear)
- champagne (dog)

and some i simple couldn't even consider attempting to pronounce.
at all.

- jakoten (bird)
- kakkun (frog)
- shinabiru (duck)
- kamaboko (penguins)
- pusuke (rabbit)

this is just my personal theory though.. :p
