So, you may or may not know, but in Animal Forest E+ only, there was a mysterious cat villager named Meow. Her appearence is very intriguing; she is like no other cat in the SERIES. Most of her body is pink, and she wears a pink, flowery shirt. But here's the most interesting part: her face is green, and seems to be digitalized. Where did the designers of Animal Crossing come up with such a design? Well, that mystery might finally be solved...
It seems that Meow is based on what is called a Meowlingual cat translator. This device is made in Japan, and claims to be able to detect and decode your cat's emotions and appearence. As you can see, there is a great deal of similarity between the two. They are both pink, have a green "face", and their faces look almost identical! This also explains why her name is simply "Meow."
There is another villager that has a very similar situation. He is a dog, named Bow, and he is based on the Bowlingual translator, the counterpart for dogs.
Meow has always been one of my favorite villagers, so it was interesting learning this about her. What are your thoughts/comments on this?
