So I've been working on cycling some of my villagers out since I have a few that are meant to go to a friend. The first to go was Egbert, my starting jock. He was forced out through campsite amiibo for a friend's dreamy, who I've been trying to 'naturally' cycle out to avoid the unfortunate amiibo adoption glitch that seems to be a thing right now.
Egbert moved into her town. She did not invite him.
Fortunately he wasn't glitched, but this also proved the void's reappearance from New Leaf.
Time went on and I managed to get one of her dreamers to move out to her town, thus opening up a plot in mine. Egbert moved back in.
Not only does this mean the void exists, it also means the old necessity of cycling out villagers before one you previously cycled out or lost could come back again (amiibo not included, since they could be reinvited immediately) is no longer a requirement.
Egbert, how could you do this to me?
Have you experienced any villager cycling troubles so far? Are you also plagued by your own Egbert?
