So I'm making a lap around my town and I notice Pompom and Merengue having a conversation. I love the conversations villagers have with each other so I run up to listen. Note that Pompom is Peppy and Merengue is Normal. About halfway through the conversation they seemed to switch dialogue. The conversation started with Pompom telling Merengue telling her she looked "almost, like, stylish today!" The conversation ended like this:

Pompom: Thank you, but I think I'm perfectly happy just the way I am!
Merengue: Hmmph. Say what you will, but some people would pay BIG money for my advice!

Note that what Merengue said is DEFINITELY Peppy dialogue. Anyone else had this happen?

Just because they are X personality doesn't mean they shouldn't be allowed to say certain things some times ^^.

Right, but Merengue spoke two lines of conversation in a row somewhere in the middle of the conversation so obviously something's not right there.

Hmm... maybe that's some weird joke by them to switch lines? Dunno. Might just be a glitch but it's nothing serious haha. ^^

I saw a similar photoset on tumblr where two villagers' dialogues randomly got switched in the middle. XD Actually, same conversation. Just a bug, possibly with that particular convo.

Well it seems like there was just a translation/setting error in that particular conversation. :)

Quite odd. I'd chalk it up to bad "pathfinding" in whatever generates their lines and responses. Though it reminds me of conversations in Oblivion, being rather spontaneous and pretty nonsensical.
