The Writers' Guild Picture Prompt Contest​

Hello everyone! I am happy to announce the Writers' Guild very first Picture Prompt Contest! I don't remember who gave me the idea to do this, but props to you and thank you for your support for the Writers Guild. As some of you may remember, we had a creative writing contest with prompts a few months ago that went over really well, and I decided it was time for another contest. Let's check it out!

WARNING: If you are interested in joining this contest, I encourage you to join the Writers' Guild as this is a guild contest. You will Also need to apply (so I know who is participating). To apply, just leave a comment saying you will join the contest and I will be expecting a story from you! Contest starts today September 5th and lasts until September 20th. First place prized for the Nintendo of America districts need to be redeemed by September 23rd.

Directions:
Please pick one of the following picture prompts write whatever you want over it; a poem, a short story, a song, a script. Anything. This project is to help inspire you to write. If you'd like to use a different picture than the ones below, please provide the picture with your entry. When you are finished, PM me your work, share it with me through google docs, or e-mail it to me.

Yes of course, the names I gave the pictures don't have to be used in your writing. It's just the titles I gave them so people would know what to expect before they click the picture. Also, thank you very much for your entry. Come the end of the contest, I will let everyone know which writing won

I had literally forgotten about all of this after I get a few bombshells dropped on me in the past few weeks/months. Viva no est? bueno ahora. I might enter if we do a fanfiction contest, though. Never too busy to write. But have fun with this one, guys!

Thank you all for being interested in the Writers' Guild contest! I have a few announcements relevant to everyone.

1) I am cutting the contest short because of prize adjustments for the NOA districts. The contest will now end on the 20th so get in your writings!!!!!! If you miss the deadline I am not responsible nor liable for your failure to get it in on time, so do your best to get it in soon!

2) A very important update for those of you in the NOA districts: Prizes will be changing. Instead of Tennis for the 3DS, for a limited time you are able to receive an "Art Academy: First Semester" prize code that will be redeemable until the 23rd. On the 16th there will be another prize change for what you can receive for the Wii and I will update you on that later.

Absolutely not, thanks for pointing that out, I meant not to have a word/character count! Since this is kinda a free for all in that you can make a short story, poem, song, etc. it would be kinda unfair to make people write so much. Sorry if I have made any of you feel you did too much but the more words the merrier. You can go into a lot of detail with a lot of words too.

Well damn, I was trying to keep my submission BELOW 5000 words. I guess that might have been for the better though..... I kind of started writing more on my own copy here and so far have around 160,000 words. Sooo... yeeeah.

If we write a story, what does the story have to be about? Does it have to be the purpose of the picture or what? Or can it be our own choice? I don't mind writing a story but I gurantee you it won't be perfect! I haven't written a story for almost atleast 2 years now. It would be nice to write one though

Your story can be about anything, however, it must have a picture to go with it. Your story should have something that pertains to the scene depicted in the picture. You can use one from the prompts I gave on the first post or you can find your own picture and write a story about it. It can be any picture as long as its not too mature. If you do decide to use your own, you must send me the picture when you send me your story. Pretty much anything goes as long as you write something involving the scene you chose. Good luck!
