There's always that one villager....

Who you can't find, no matter how thoroughly you search your island. They're nowhere to be seen outside, so you visit the museum (every exhibit, might I add) and both stores. Then...just as soon as you're about to give up, they're on the BEACH! Or the dock where Kapp'n sits!

Idk why I find this interesting, but I do. I know it's probably random, but I'm still not one hundred-percent sure how it works. Oh well.

Lol, yeah. This is always really annoying. It's as if no matter where you look, you can't find them, and they show up when you least expect it. Last time this happened to me they were hiding in the museum. x)

YES! I look everywhere and I can find every villager but the one I need to find. I have said they need to just have dots on the map indicating where they are, why have they not done this?

I KNOW! Along from adding a beach volleyball mini-game, we should be able to see where the villagers are on the map!

In new leaf, there was a megaphone that you could use to call your villagers. I’m surprised it’s not in new horizons! It was very helpful for this situation

omg yes. that’s why i appreciated the megaphone in new leaf so much, because it made finding your villagers (if they were outside) so much easier and less time consuming haha. i never feel like going on a scavenger hunt for them, so if they’re not in a shop, their home, another villager’s home or somewhere on the island where i can see them, i assume they’re in the museum or something and save and reload my game until they show up.

though, i find it funny that some villagers i’ve had have gone ‘missing’ more than others. when i had raymond on my island for example, he was always nowhere to be found the first few times i booted up the game. i’d have to save and reload repeatedly for him to finally show up somewhere haha.

Funny how most of the time, the villager you want the most is the one missing. I agree about how convenient the megaphone is and it should've been in this game.

Rather than wasting my time exploring, I just save and reset to shuffle the villagers wandering around.

At the very least, they should have made it so you can open your map, click on the villager you're looking for, and it shows their location on the map. I understand not showing every single one on the map as default because that can cover the majority of the map sometimes, but being able to select and see would be really helpful.

Do you have the Café? In the updates leading up to v2.0, there was a bug where a villager could vanish completely, and it was thought that this villager was in the Café. I thought they patched this with v2.0, but maybe the bug still exists, and we just stopped noticing when we got the Café

I just save and reset to respawn the villagers. I don’t spend time trying to look for one specific villager.

Nook can call villagers to R.S so I don’t see why we can’t call them ourselves.

Sometimes I'm lazier than my lazy villagers and if I can't find somebody on the easy places (shops, near town hall..) I give up or just reload the game
