Okay, so heres the story:
I've had this town for a little while now, but I'm currently regretting my choice of town layout.

this is the map by the way (this picture is a little old)
I love the position of the docks and the ramp and Re-Tail, and I love my giant private beach, but I hate the fact that theres not much open space.
It didn't bother me at first but as I started to get further into the game, and I started to lay down my paths, it really got on my nerves.
I would reset, but the thing is, I have a lot of rare items, but I can't store them in another town or anything like that because New Leaf is having wi-fi problems. :/
[SUP]I also have amazing villagers (aka I hate none of them)[/SUP]
Okay so getting to the big question, should I just reset and work my way up to where I am now, or should I keep my town as is?
[SUP]i am not good with decisions at all
also I am sorry if this is in the wrong place or anything I am a big doofus[/SUP]

I personally wouldn't. You have loads of space above your town tree, I would build stuff there. Just imagine resetting and not getting a town anywhere near as nice as this, with horrible villagers. Appreciate what you've got and work with it! That's the game isn't it? You're supposed to develop the town, not abandon it when there's something you're iffy about.

But of course, this is just my opinion.

Just make a list of pros and cons and then from there, break down how important each one is. Everyone has their own opinion, so you may regret listening to what someone suggests after reaching a certain point in the game again. Once you have it all down on paper, pick whether you want to delete or keep your town based on what you come up with.
If your wifi is really terrible for visiting towns, try to find a public place with free wifi. That's if you don't mind using your 3DS in public.

Good luck. :(
I feel your pain about the paths though. I have a huge river as well.

I have to agree with Majnin. To be honest, my town layout would be considered worse than yours. But there's no way I'm taking back what I've been working on, and complicated layouts that work are much more impressive than simplistic, "map perfect" ones. You've got heaps of space still! I've got about 12-13 community projects crammed into my town and I still have enough room for future projects.

Have you tried clearing out trees to see if that'll give you more space?

Hmm, y'know I think I might actually keep it.
I'm gonna tear down all my community projects (except my bridges and bench, they're cool), and re-think my town layout.
knowing me though, I'll probably end up resetting
Another thing that bothers me is my villagers' house placements, Rodney moved right into the middle of the area about the town tree (I am gonna murder him for that, seriously)

i probably should have posted a more up-to-date version on my town map but whatever
maybe the thing that's actually bothering me is that my town feels incomplete? the nooklings+the gardening store haven't merged yet so I can't buy bushes (besides the island ones but they aren't plentiful) and my villagers haven't requested any community projects yet

I know how you feel -.-' I'm starting to regret my town layout as well :( I feel like I have hardly any space...

I Think it's a much harder decision than ever to reset towns, than it was in other games tbh, which is why i never will, unlike other towns where i constantly resetted. You have to think about all the stores that need to be unlocked again, public works may not be requested again etc

I love your town layout! I love how the plaza is beside town hall, the private beach, the position of the dock & retail, and it looks like your villagers are nice and spread out too. I wouldn't restart at all. I don't know what your space problem is though, it looks like you have plenty of open areas to me... but I don't put down much paths so I wouldn't know. @_@ But awesome map.
