This is turning into a nightmare trying to get Meltan and Melmetal for the national Pokedex. Playing and beating Pokemon Let's Go Eevee is the easy part, but now I'm having trouble with the Pokemon Go part. I'm literally running low on Pokeballs in Pokemon Go and I don't know how hard Meltan is to catch and now after looking at how much I have to walk just to get enough candies to evolve at least one of the two Meltan I have to catch, this is just too much. My phone is also having problems connecting outside without a WiFi source, so no more spinning Pokestops for extra Pokeballs. So my question is, am I better just waiting for a Meltan and Melmetal event later on in the future on one of the main Pokemon games? :/

Honestly, if it is becoming too much of a hassle... just wait for an event. With Sword and Shield coming, events are possible.

Meltan is pretty annoying to catch. Not only do they have a small hit box, but they also like to jump a lot from my experience. I've got a Melmetal and still have around 800+ candies because events in PoGo. Niantic creates a lot of events for the game. Double candy events are quite common and literally the only reason I've been able to amass that amount of candies. I'm gonna assume that you've missed all those events huh? Regardless, it seems like you have difficultly in general playing the game so I'm not really sure what to tell you. If you need more balls and you can't spin stops, you can also add some friends so they can send you gifts as another way to get pokeballs.

Honestly though, I wouldn't worry too much. Let's Go Eevee/Pika doesn't even have a national dex so there's really no point in worrying until Pokemon Switch comes out. I also really doubt that they will keep Meltan/Melmetal a PoGo exclusive. The only reason you can only get this way for the moment is because they wanted to advertise both PoGo and the Let's Go games. So don't worry too much. I'm sure they'll be some way you other players to get it in the future.

Thank you both for responding. I guess I'll just wait for an event to happen later. This was turning out to be too hard for me to do anyway, especially now knowing that Meltan is that hard to catch. I'll just complete the rest of my Let's Go Eevee game and call it good for now. :)

I'm pretty sure that once a week you can transfer a mystery box from Let's Go to PoGO, and then you get 30 minutes to catch as many Meltan as possible. I've only gotten one mystery box (from someone else who has a switch) and I already have quite a few Meltan candies.

Also if you can't spin pokestops then you might not have much luck playing the game in general. It might be a good idea to add some friends and get gifts from them (though you need to spin pokestops to get gifts to send back) and that's a pretty easy way to get pokeballs. I have about 300 reg and 80 great balls because of this.

Thanks. I've actually already decided to just wait for an event for both Pokemon. I'm really not too concerned with getting them right now. The only reason I wanted to obtain them was for the shiny charm in the next generation game when it comes out this year, depending if they introduce the national dex again.

They always re-release mythical Pokemon eventually. Sometimes it takes a few generations though.

I don't play Pokemon Go. At all. So I'm also hoping they have some sort of Meltan events during Gen 8. I'm sure we aren't the only ones who will want it. There will be others in the same boat.

Pok?mon Go is annoying. I missed the Meltan event and now I feel they are just gone. It stinks because I need Ditto for the Mew and now the Meltan quest and that Pok?mon refuses to appear also. It is better to just wait for an event because I feel like the same few Pok?mon just keep showing up when there isn't an event.
