Why do we get this instead of ac wii u? I mean it looks ok but I'm disappointed.

Don't get your hopes up. Wii U is dead in the water. Nintendo will be unveiling the NX at next year's E3. Wii U is never getting a proper Animal Crossing game.

I guess I will still buy Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival so I can just break it, shatter it into oblivion and then send it to Nintendo by mail.

Yeah I agree with you. Wii U has always been a rubbish console. The best we can expect now is backwards compatibility with NX for 3ds and Wii U.

I just saw the trailer. It's disappointing that there is not going to be a major Animal Crossing for Wii U. But since I don't own a Wii U, I don't mind. I'll just keep playing the other Animal Crossing titles.

The only good part about this upcoming game is you can play as Isabelle, Tom Nook, K.K. Slider and even Mabel.

So for anyone who is tired of playing as Villager, this is the game for you.

I'm going for Happy Home Designer, maybe.

You may think that, but it really isn't. I think AC Wii U may come out before the NX system would. If not, it will at least come out on the Wii U. I actually do agree that AC needs some spin-offs.

What bothers me is that people are judging games before their releases. I understand how you were upset about how the fifth AC game wasn't announced, but it's only two years since ACNL came out. AC Wii U coming in 2015 or early 2016 is like Frozen 2 (full movie) coming out in May 2014 (which obviously didn't happen). Wait until the game comes out, then try it.

I will be trying both this game and HHD.

I don't think we got this instead of Animal Crossing U at all.

If anything, this thread should be on the Splatoon boards because really, that's the game we got instead of Animal Crossing U.

The Wii U is awesome, it just lacks better games. The console itself for anyone that owns one is a pleasure. I play mine every day and use it for both Netflix and Crunchyroll where it has every other console smoked. With splatoon coming out as well as Smash the console finally has things to own, but this years E3 made me cry. Here is an image of the "like" bar on the youtube trailer for the newest Wii U title...

The Wii U has the best games of this generation, just not as much as some would like. For a gamer with not that much time on his hands the Wii U still has a nice library that I'm looking forward to plunging into.

Best games? The only exclusive games I like are Mario Kart 8 and Super smash bros.

Don't get me started on Splatoon. They hit it out of the park with that game and it's not even all out there yet.

We got Splatoon (one game) instead of Call of Duty (series of games). I think we might get AC Wii U, just not this year.

They can't release AC next year when NX is going to hopefully be released. Maybe we could wish for a Wii U version and a NX version. XD. The marketing tactics would be terrible then.

Yeah they honeydiccked the whole AC fan base when they showed the Isabelle amiibo touch the gamepad. Everyone had a quick gasp and then realized the Mario Party-esque tiles.

Amiibo Festival doesn't look that bad (mostly because Bob is in the trailer) but I don't know if I wanna cop it. Plus, chances are you're not gonna have any amiibo to participate in the festivities rip.

What does your uncle work at Nintendo or something? You're welcome to your opinion and all, but it's not like what you say or think is fact.

First off, for people saying New Leaf is only 2, it's NOT, it's about to turn THREE- this November actually. Localization was what gave it to America in 2013, but if you had a Japanese copy, you've had it three years. Just using Japan's release years, it's looking quite dire for a Wii U version (especially if it's only got a couple years left in its lifetime):

2001: Nintendo 64
2001: GameCube
2003: GameCube
2005: Nintendo DS
2008: Wii
2012: 3DS
20??: Wii U??

Granted, Splatoon could have delayed any possible U version, but look at all the features in Happy Home Designer. It's not simply the animal's house, it's the town, both a city aspect and the area around the houses- you can finally put furniture outside!! Come on, all the stuff fans have been yelling for Nintendo finally gives in Happy Home Designer! A Wii U version may eventually come, but if I had to guess, they want the install base to be much higher than it is, and are using Amiibo Festival (and if you have it Animal Crossing Plaza) to tide fans over wanting a console something (besides the MK8 track and Smash level/costume/etc).

Yes but I think I have made it pretty clear across the forum that these suggestions are just that, suggestions. And at that coming from a 14 year old, so don't take anything I say as true.

No, AC Wii U is coming out 3001, you are incorrect in your question marks! Lol.

Just because you're 14 doesn't mean you shouldn't be more tactful. There's been things I've seen you posting today that have been very rude or tactless.

I don't dig and if most people don't they gotta make sure not to buy it, so that Nintendo learns that AC fans don't want spin offs that have nothing to do with the core games gameplay style. Happy Home Designer is fine, because it's still an Animal Crossing game at heart.. just more from the NPC perspective almost. But if people do that's fine, I'm not gonna be against people having fun.
