I'm really sorry for anyone having difficulties with their switch preorder and I wish them the best of luck, but this is about JUST the game. For anyone getting it physically, and more specifically over amazon preorder, what does your tracking information say? Mine says it hasn't been shipped out yet and that its expected by 11 pm tomorrow. I'm really adamant about getting a physical copy but I'm scared to be late to the party even though people already have the game and I would only be waiting for a day or so.

My friend ordered through amazon and just messaged me that hers has been delayed to the 24th. My game (ordered through target's website) has been shipped but isn't projected to arrive until the 26th.... I really want that notebook though.
I also pre-ordered from Amazon. Mine says the same. It says it will arrive (here in New Orleans) tomorrow by 11 PM, but also says it hasn't even shipped yet. Yeah right? Believe me, NOTHING gets here that fast from Amazon, ever.
I just ordered the digital version from the e-shop about ten minutes ago. It is about 3/4 downloaded so I am hopeful that the huge numbers of downloads today won't delay anything. Once it is downloaded I will cancel my Amazon pre-order which probably will not have even shipped by then. Of course there is a chance that I'll end up paying for both, but I'm willing to take that chance.
Edited to add: It is completely downloaded! I am amazed that Nintendo's servers can handle this so fast when there must be a million people downloading it today.
Edited again to add: The digital download is all set and says I can play it tomorrow (but not right now, obviously!). So I went to Amazon and told them to cancel the order. They say they will try but are not sure that they can, this close to shipment. What will be, will be - - at this point all I want (and need) is to be able to play Animal Crossing tomorrow.

I read an article on BBC today saying amazon is altering its policies to be able to keep up with essential household item orders. The article said 3rd party sellers or sellers of “non essential” goods might have trouble shipping through Amazon.

Yeah I just cancelled my order since there is no way its getting here on time. I'm trying to find somewhere to pick it up early. I just tried to call gamestop to see if they have any available tomorrow. I called two stores and both of them didn't pick up I'm getting nervous now because I know just walking in will be big trouble tomorrow with Doom coming out as well. ughgugi
Yeah, they're not adding things into their warehouses, but things can still be shipped out of them, iirc. However, there is the additional problem of more people at home = more online shopping/orders through amazon.
