Time Travel Question

I wanted to know this just out of curiosity. I don't time travel, so...

What would happen if your game was set to the last date that your game provides (for example, on New Leaf it would be 11:59 PM on December 31, 2050), and you waited until 12:00 of the next day? Would the game's clock just reset to the earliest date available? Or would something else happen?

No, it goes to the first date the system has. On the Wii, it goes from 2000 to 2036, so after December 31, 2036, it would go to January 1, 2000.
