I was wondering if anyone could give me tips on how to move a specific villager out of my town, please. I've tried numerous methods, but I have more dreamies now, and one of the previous methods that I used made me lose Phoebe, who was the 4th dreamie that I had. Does anyone have an effective way of doing this without losing dream villagers?? Thanks!

I don't think there is a 100% foolproof method of getting one specific villager to move out, sorry. But I can give you general tips for moving them?

There's theories of ignoring them to make them move out faster (which never worked for me, on the contrary: befriended villagers asked more often to move than my least liked one!) or hitting them with the bug net or shovel. Which is not only mean but also not really productive towards making them want to leave.

I use a popular Method which involves the wetsuit that works fine for me. You have to empty your inventory (tools are ok) and have less than 100 bells on you (I put them into my mail-inventory so you still have access). This way villagers can not ping you for trades or to buy stuff from them. Now you just run around and hope the right one pings you... Tedious, but yeah ._. If nobody pinged to move, equip the wetsuit and set the timer to 5 minutes (you can do without the timer, just for convenience). Swim into the ocean towards the bundary to the end of the map and wait until the time runs out. After this time the pings will be reset and new pings can occur. Try to remember your specific villager's location and only run to that villager. If they ping you - yay! If not, try again. It works but is pretty time consuming... >_>" They often request catchphrase changes, ask your opinion or other useless stuff. But sometimes they give you a PWP, so yeah that can be good.

Sorry for this long post but hope it can help you! And dang, losing Phoebe must have been pretty bad :< She's such a cool character.
